SUMMARY:Homeschool Creative Arts Program
DESCRIPTION:A day of dance\, art\, and music\, Hope Academy’s Creative Arts Program is the perfect option for home-school arts education. This course for students 6-12 yrs old will be split into 2 semesters: Fall (September 14 – December 7) and Spring (January 11 – April 26) with a week off at Thanksgiving and two weeks off at Easter. This ends up being 26 weeks of Creative Arts training for 3 hours a week! It happens every Thursday morning from 9am-12pm. For families who would rather not drop their kids off\, we will have a lounge spaces available for relaxing or for other siblings to study. \nThe price is $380 for all 26 weeks (that’s less than $15 a week for THREE different arts classes)\, but if you sign up before August 20th\, the price will only be $320. Partial payments can be made. We are only taking 24 students this semester\, so sign up quick and reserve your spot! \nCREATIVE BLOCKS\nMORNING DEVOTION \nEvery morning will begin with a brief time of prayer and praise. With all the kids together\, we will sing songs\, pray with and for each other\, and have a devotion teaching that gets our hearts and minds ready to move through the 3 creative arts stations. \nDANCE – MESSIANIC PRAISE DANCE \nThe class will introduce your child to Israeli folk dance and Messianic praise dance! Students will learn the Hebrew names of the different dance steps. And we will put it all together to classic Israeli folk songs and modern Messianic Praise Songs. \nART – BASIC ART FORMS \nChildren will experience a variety of different mediums: oil pastels\, paint\, clay\, and paper mâché. Students will participate in projects such as learning to draw from imagination\, still life’s\, and create abstract sculptures. \nPIANO – BEGINNER PIANO \nEvery student will be introduced to basic musical concepts at the piano\, including music theory\, simple sight-reading skills\, and basic piano technique in an 8-keyboard classroom setting.
