Ja’Von Jones, a Lansing native, has been walking out a God-redeemed story since the age of 15, when a powerful prodigal son encounter forever changed the direction of his life. What the enemy meant for destruction, God turned into deliverance, purpose, and calling. Ja’Von’s life stands as a testimony that no one is too far gone for the restoring power of Jesus Christ.

In response to that transformation, Ja’Von committed his life to ministry and pursued training through Mount Hope Church Bible Training Institute (BTI), First Assembly of God of Greater Lansing, and the Michigan School of Ministry through the Assemblies of God. He has served faithfully in outreach, youth, children’s ministry, and prayer, carrying a burning passion to see lives restored, chains broken, and people set back on the path God intended for them.

Ja’Von and his wife, Amanda, are blessed with four children—Sarinede, Destiny, Zion, and Zechariah. More than 20 years ago, Ja’Von served at Mount Hope Church’s downtown location as a student in BTI. Today, he returns with gratitude and humility, honored to serve under the leadership of Pastor Kevin and Renee Berry at the Downtown Campus—believing that God is still calling prodigals home and restoring all that was lost.
