Ed and Kim Nye have anchored their lives in missions upon Matthew 24:14. They firmly believe that the Gospel must be proclaimed to all nations—a task entrusted to the Church. Only when we fulfill this Great Mission of God will the end come. However, preaching the Gospel globally comes with inherent risks. As John Easter aptly stated, “We will have a greater harvest than ever before, but it will come at a far greater cost.”

For over two decades, Ed and Kim have dedicated themselves to equipping missionaries for the task of establishing churches worldwide. As former Area Directors in Central Eurasia and co-founders of Live Dead Iran and Live Dead Silk Road, they played pivotal roles in establishing churches in Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, and Central Asian Muslim countries.

Today, their mission continues: guiding missionaries to follow God’s call even in the most perilous places. Drawing inspiration from Nehemiah, they emphasize both prayer and practical wisdom. Like Nehemiah, who prayed while posting guards to protect the city walls, they equip missionaries to navigate spiritual threats wisely.

Ed serves as AGWM’s Global Security Coordinator, helping missionaries navigate the delicate balance between risk and ministry. His expertise enables them to recognize and resist threats. Ed has coached missionaries through critical incidents in Syria, Sudan, Ukraine, Russia, Northern Asia, North Africa, Israel, Palestine, the Levant, and other locales. When crises arise, he leads a trained team to shepherd missionaries and AGWM through to safety the other side of that crisis.

Additionally, Ed and Kim actively contribute to the Missions Commission for the World Assemblies of God Fellowship and the Pentecostal World Fellowship. Their goal: raise up missionaries from other nations, empowering them to send their own messengers to proclaim the Gospel. In this they demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the Great Commission.
