OUR STORY

After pastoring in Lake Worth, FL from 1992-1998, the Brink family was appointed as AGWM missionaries and served in Pakistan from 1999 -2009 establishing the ministry of Teen Challenge. Under their direction God has raised up national staff to direct the Teen Challenge men’s program in Attock City and also a women’s program called New Hope in Islamabad. The two programs operated 50 beds to offer help and hope to the 7 million drug addicted in Pakistan. Teen Challenge Pakistan has developed into a great tool to reach out in compassion to the Muslim population in a very strict Islamic environment. Mark travels back to Pakistan annually to help with development of the program, training and also to do training with Pakistani national churches.

In 2010 the Brink family joined Global Initiative – Reaching Muslim Peoples. At Global Initiative, Mark was the director of Mobilization from 2010 to 2015 that equips and helps mobilize workers to Muslim people groups around the world. Mark has completed his Masters studies in Intercultural Studies with a concentration in Ministry to Muslims from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in 2014. As of July 2015 Mark accepted the assignment as the International Director for Global Initiative whose vision statement is to equip the church to reach Muslims globally. Global Initiative holds training courses in over 43 countries of the world and each year train thousand of national workers. “Our calling and heart has always been the Muslim world. At Global Initiative we are given the opportunity to target the least reached peoples of the Muslim world.” Mark directs a team of missionaries who travel around the world training national workers to reach Unreached Muslim People groups more effectively. “We are targeting Unreached People Groups across the Muslim world by raising up church planting teams to go and win and disciple an indigenous church.”
