Help plant a strategic international, multicultural church in Auckland, the largest city in New Zealand. With over 1.6 million very ethnically diverse residents, Auckland is also the largest Polynesian city in Asia Pacific. Over half of the 5 million residents of New Zealand reject religious connections of any kind, and world religions such as Islam and Hinduism are on the rise. Through a spirit-filled international church plant, we believe God will reach the lost and establish a new community of vibrant followers of Christ that would not only affect New Zealand but would also reach many other nations with the truth and power of the gospel!

The Turneys missionary bio…

Nathan and Lisa Turney have been working in Asia Pacific as missionaries with the Assemblies of God World Missions for 25 years. In 2020, they were officially assigned as the first AGWM missionaries appointed to New Zealand. The Turney’s prior missionary work was directing Asia’s Little Ones, the AGWM Asia Pacific child-compassion ministry, and serving as missionaries in Thailand. Nathan and Lisa have six children: Klaire, Elijah, Zachary, and Lily, who still live at home, and their adult children, Grace (who is married to Jeff) and Pierce.
