Paul & Angela Trementozzi

Country/Region: Europe
Mount Hope Supported Since: 2014

As AGWM regional director for Europe, Paul Trementozzi gives direction and oversight to more than 450 missionaries and missionary associates serving in 37 countries and territories.

Paul grew up in Canton, Massachusetts. When he was 12 years old, he heard the gospel presented in a Kathryn Kuhlman crusade service, and soon afterward he received Christ as his Savior. During his teen years he attended Brockton Assembly of God in Brockton, Massachusetts, and his spiritual life took root.

After graduating from high school, Paul attended Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Through the teaching ministry of Charles Greenaway, former Eurasia regional director, he was challenged by the spiritual needs across Europe. He returned to Massachusetts and graduated from Eastern Nazarene College with a BA in psychology and became involved in a counseling ministry in Brockton.

Paul and his wife, Angela, were married in 1981, and soon afterward Paul became assistant pastor at Brockton Assembly of God, his home church. In 1988 the family moved to Baltimore, Maryland, to pastor Bethel Assembly of God. While they were there, the burden for Europe increased.

Following their appointment as missionaries, they attended language school in Costa Rica to learn Spanish. They arrived in Spain in 1994. Over the years they worked to build relationships with people, plant churches and disciple believers to lead new congregations. They also were actively involved in Bible school ministry and served on the Spanish National School Board for 15 years.

In 2001 Paul was asked to serve as area director for Southern Europe, which expanded his responsibilities to include Italy, Spain, Portugal, Malta, and the Canary and Azores Islands. He continued to be involved in Bible school ministry and served on several seminary boards. He was named regional director for Europe in 2011.

Paul received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts. He also earned a master’s degree in negotiation, conflict resolution and international peace from California State University in Dominguez Hills, California. He and Angela have three sons: Paul, David and Nathan.
