It’s imperative that we understand that there is a real enemy out there looking to steal, divide, and destroy you. Satan understands that a house divided cannot stand, so it’s vital that we come together to defeat and conquer against any attacks. Week 8: Standing Against the Enemy Together

It’s imperative that we understand that there is a real enemy out there looking to steal, divide, and destroy you. Satan understands that a house divided cannot stand, so it’s vital that we come together to defeat and conquer against any attacks.

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.

10 In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 11 All power to him forever! Amen.

Peter’s Final Greetings

12 I have written and sent this short letter to you with the help of Silas, whom I commend to you as a faithful brother. My purpose in writing is to encourage you and assure you that what you are experiencing is truly part of God’s grace for you. Stand firm in this grace.

13 Your sister church here in Babylon sends you greetings, and so does my son Mark. 14 Greet each other with a kiss of love.

Peace be with all of you who are in Christ.

  1. The Bible calls the devil “your great enemy.” Why should you stay alert and watch out for him?
  2. Peter said the devil looks for someone to devour. It seems that he does not come after a group as much as an individual. How does staying connected to God’s family help shield you from the enemy’s attacks against you?
  3. In what ways do you see the devil attacking people in our area? How are people (without naming names) becoming victims of this evil predator?
  4. How can we stand firm against the devil together? How can we help each other to be strong in our faith?
  5. How can you help protect others from the devil’s attack?
  6. How do we war against a fallen angel and an evil spiritual being?
  7. How can we help each other stand firm in God’s grace?
