“Though Europe has seen many dramatic changes in the last 20 years, some things remain the same: Europe remains one of the unreached continents in the world” — JIM SABELLA
In 2017, Jim and Sherry became Area Director for the newly formed Southeast Europe. The new area consists of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
In her ministry as Area Director, Sherry is responsible for organizing and directing the Assemblies of God World Missions program in Southeast Europe. She works directly with the Assemblies of God missionaries living and ministering in Southeast Europe. She also works directly with the national Pentecostal church leaders in those countries.
Along with her duties as Area Director, Sherry is also the founding directors of Europe’s Heart. Europe’s Heart is a ministry that focuses on those who live on the margins of society.
CONTINUING ON IN MINISTRY!
I am continuing in this mission. At the age of 17, I felt God’s call on my life to missions. And a specific call to Eastern Europe. That call remains to this day. Just as Elisha took on Elijah’s mantle, I feel Jim has placed his mantle over me to continue spreading God’s love and message to Southeast Europe. I am continuing in Jim’s former role as Area Director to Southeast Europe Area. This area is comprised of 11 countries, nearly all located within the Balkans. My responsibilities include leading the missionaries serving in this area and working directly with the leadership of the national churches in these countries.
